Marty's working life began in Aviation Logistics, Worked for a “Forbes Top 100 ranked Billionaire in France, Monaco, Italy, Turkey, Montenegro and Greece on a superyacht. He worked and lived in one the most coldest & snowiest remote area's in the world in Northern Japan for a real estate development company. Marty has generated over $3 million in sales & leasing revenue in under 6 months while working in Commercial & Industrial Real Estate. Over a span of close to 6 years in the Commercial & Industrial real estate he has generated over 30 million in sales & leasing revenue. His achievements include building his own residential property investment portfolio which started by setting his mind on the goal of buying his first house by the age of 20 and then accumulating a further 7 properties worth $1.68 million by the age of 29 years old.
Marty, Founder & CEO of NFPD Snow Brand, established an Australian-owned online family snow apparel store in 2017, initially operating from his parents' garage. NFPD emerged as a self-funded and bootstrapped venture, navigating the challenging business landscape of the pandemic era. Despite facing near-bankruptcy following a breakout year in 2020, the company persevered through multiple setbacks and adversities. Today, NFPD proudly serves customers across 12 countries, including Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, UK and Japan, with its products featured in retail outlets in New Zealand and the USA. With a remarkable trajectory of growth, NFPD is poised for further expansion.
Marty from an incredibly early childhood was curious about how people would go about their lives and why they did what they did. He would always love asking the bigger questions in life and would rather be around his parents and adults than play with the other kids at his parents friends parties.
Mainstream schooling had always been a hindrance. It created low self-esteem and low confidence, he felt dumb and struggled academically. He hated learning and doing homework. He would get bored pretty quickly with the mainstream school system from when he first attended to when he finished year 12. He could not read until he was 8 years old and was then identified as needing special assistance learning. It was in this special assistance class that he first discovered a love of learning. The teacher would play physical fun games in order to get the special assistance students to learn to read. In high school he graduated with the third worst score average. School was not for him. He felt he was wasting time being there. It solidified a deep burning desire to prove everyone wrong and that there had to be another way to life.
Marty's entrepreneurial spirit was created in his first business at the early age of 8 years old. A venture selling lollies in school to the other school children. It all came about from the pain and anxiety from over hearing unknowingly intense shouting arguments about money and how to pay the bills from his parents in the other room. He made a vow that money would not be an issue in his future life. It created a deep burning desire and encompassed a passion from an incredibly young age to become financially free. Throughout high school he had several more side businesses selling sports jerseys and mix CDs and then onto buying and selling for a profit used cars shortly after finishing high school.
Marty felt enormous pressure from school teachers and his mum about needing to know what he wanted to do with the rest of his life and the pressure from his mum to have to go to university. He could not understand and comprehend why people would work there whole lives doing something they hated to then retire at 65 - 67 years old and then go do what you would love to do if you were still alive by then. Instead of giving into the pressure he had a plan. The plan included getting a secure good paying job in freight and logistics at the airport. Step 2 was to purchase residential property and create an investment portfolio. He made a bet to his mother that he would get his first property before he turned 21 years old and the deal was she would stop asking him to go to university. The plan nearly failed as he sent out numerous resumes and applied for several advertised jobs only to get rejected one after another for not having any experience. In fact in Martin's whole work career he has never been hired by a company via sending a resume and applying for an advertised job.
This drive and determination were fueled by Marty's goal of becoming a millionaire by the age of 30. While Martin achieved great success towards this goal his vehicle to success was making him more frustrated, miserable and unhappy.
What started his personal development journey 21 years ago was his father that gave him a book by Dale Carnegie, “How to Win Friends and Influence People”. At this point in Marty's life he never really read a book before as he hated reading because all the books he had to read and learn in school wasn't of interest to him. Marty was at his lowest very down, sad and dejected from the constant rejection from school and then dealing with all the rejections from the job's he applied for. After sparking his interest into how others think, Marty decided he wanted to find out more about how highly successful people think and achieve successful and positive results & what sets them apart from others.
Marty's next transformative journey began with a commitment to self-discovery, marked by an open-hearted and open-minded exploration of personal development. Engaging in various workshops, breathwork sessions, meditative practices, and spiritual growth experiences, he delved deep into his inner self. This profound introspection was spurred by challenges he faced in the workplace experiencing bullying and navigating office politics. Marty realized that his negative thought patterns were hindering him from living life to its fullest potential. It wasn't until he embraced self-accountability and actively sought out different self-improvement techniques including breathwork, meditation, cold therapy, and stress-management tools that he began to address issues such as anger, burnout, rejection, and emotional turmoil. Through this journey, Marty confronted and worked through a myriad of emotions and obstacles, from low self-esteem and regret to anxiety and trauma. He embarked on a path of healing and self-love, dismantling subconscious limiting beliefs and breaking free from self-sabotage and negative cycles that had held him back. By learning to embrace his worthiness and cultivate self-compassion, Marty discovered a newfound resilience and inner strength.
At the age of 36, Marty embarked on a journey of self-discovery that led him to a profound realization. During a challenging event, he became aware of a hidden money blockage and difficulty in receiving, a revelation triggered by receiving an expensive gift. This incident prompted six months of introspection, during which Marty delved deep into the root cause of his struggle with receiving. Through this process, he uncovered a childhood trauma buried deep within his subconscious, previously unknown to his conscious mind. This trauma had unknowingly fueled patterns of self-sabotage in his financial life, manifesting in ways he couldn't comprehend despite his best efforts. Marty's newfound awareness allowed him to address and overcome these obstacles, marking a pivotal moment in his journey toward financial empowerment
He made another vow to be a generational cycle breaker of passed down trauma. He stood in the face of the trauma and fought to say "This ends with me" as he wanted the tools and strategies to overcome the passed down cycles and share with his kids and loved ones that there is another way to life and dealing with challenges, setbacks and emotions.
This led him to having multiple breakthroughs, aha moments and transformations and ultimately connected Marty to his authentic self. Marty is on a continual journey of self-discovery and mastering his own life and fulfilling his life's mission.
